A grieving father got the attention of Facebook after posting an emotional video pleading for their help.

John Berlin posted a YouTube video to his Facebook account, asking for Mark Zuckerberg to help him access his late son’s 62 second “look back” video that Facebook has made available to its users.

“I’m calling out to Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook. You’ve been putting out these new movies — you know these one minute movies that everybody’s been sharing,” John Berlin said in the video. “And I think they are great. Well, my son passed away Jan. 28, 2012 and we can’t access his Facebook account. I’ve tried emailing, different things, but it ain’t working. All we want to do is see his movie. That’s it.”

In the video, Berlin asked his friends to share the video and for their friends to share it and so on. Berlin wanted the video to go viral in order to get Facebook’s attention.

It worked.

Berlin posted an update on Facebook, saying the social site contacted him on Wednesday and would help him access his son’s “look back” video.

“It worked I was just contacted by FB by phone and there going to make a vid just for us,” Berlin wrote. “They also said they’re going to look at how they can better help families who have lost loved ones. Ty friends and to FB.”
