LEAWOOD, Kan. – Funeral arrangements have been set for the victims who died as a result of Sunday’s shootings.

On Friday at 3 p.m. the lives of 14-year-old Reat Griffin Underwood and 69-year-old Dr. William Lewis Corporon will be celebrated during a memorial service in the main sanctuary of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, at 13720 Roe Avenue in Leawood.

Dr. Corporon was a well-known and loved general physician who in the early 2000’s moved from Oklahoma to Johnson County to be closer to his grandchildren and family. His passion was caring for others and his family.

“He was a loved physician, father, grandfather, and friend,” said a release from the church.

Underwood was a very talented and gifted freshman at Blue Valley High School, who was involved in many things. He participated in theatre, debate, and was described as having a beautiful singing voice.

The family of the two victims has requested that donations honoring both Dr. Corporon and Underwood be made to The Blue Valley Education Foundation, The Church of the Resurrection KiDS COR, Boy Scouts of America and Operation Breakthrough.

The visitation for Terri LaManno, a longtime parishoner at St. Peter’s Church, 815 Meyer Boulevard, will be held Wednesday, April 16 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the church, with the rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church on Thursday, April 17 at 10:00 a.m. with the interment immediately afterwards.

LaManno worked with blind children as an occupational therapist.
